Tradition, made to be carried forward.

Indian textiles  ·  The 2026 Collection

What a textile carries, Pratima carries forward.

India's textile traditions run deep: in fibre, in weave, in the hands that finish a piece before it ships. We connect that knowledge with the brands, retailers and designers who will put it to use, wherever they are.

We choose the workshops, understand the materials, and describe both honestly enough that sourcing from India feels as dependable as sourcing from anywhere else.

The 2026 Collection

A considered range, not a catalogue.

Four collections built for everyday-to-considered retail, and a Pashmina line above them, chosen for material, character, versatility and quality.

Know the cloth

Know the cloth.

Fibre, composition, construction and provenance should never be a mystery. Every piece in the range comes with what we know written down plainly, and where a buyer needs independent proof, we can arrange verification.

The people

Behind every piece, a workshop we know directly.

Pratima's textile knowledge lives in the workshops we work with across India. Kashmir is one part of that network: deep expertise we've built a real relationship with, not a starting point we're limited to.

One workshop in the network

Four generations. Eighty-plus handlooms. A family that has done nothing else.

One of the Kashmiri workshops in Pratima's network. By the family's own account it was registered in around 1860, with the weaving practice reaching back further still. The fourth generation runs it today, both sides of the family drawn from the same trade.

More than eighty handlooms operate alongside their power looms, which is why this single workshop can produce both machine-woven consistency and hand-woven heritage, and tell us honestly which piece is which.

Our approach

How we work, made practical.

01TrustOne name to answer to, on every order, not a call centre.
02TransparencyWe name the fibre, the loom and the origin, and mark plainly what we don't yet know.
03CraftsmanshipWe know what a loom, a spin or a finish changes in the hand, and we say so before you ask.
04SustainabilityNatural fibre where the piece calls for it, honest labelling where it doesn't. No claim we can't evidence.
05Long-term partnershipA relationship built to outlast a single order, one sample and one season at a time.

International

Built to work across borders, not just across India.

Pratima operates across India and Spain: India for the sourcing and the textile relationships, Spain for the connection to European and international buyers.

The current range is already built for retailers, designers and brands beyond a single market. More on how India and Spain work together →
